Cue Julie Andrews

Raindrops on
... not roses exactly but Hellebores are sometimes referred to as Winter Roses

There's not a lot flowering in the garden at the moment - and most of what is there is quite small - but by taking the shots in macro and carefully avoiding the pathetic possum-decimated roses, I can have you believing otherwise:

alyssum winter iris arbutus polygala plectranthus prostrate rosemary

... anyone care to guess my favourite garden colours?

These are also my favorite garden colors. However, my son prefers loud yellows and oranges, so the plot has gotten lost along the way.

Lovely photos - glad to "see" you up and hopefully feeling better today.

I think we share a love of winter flowers. They are lovely.

Photos of camp are coming. I was exhausted last night! I'd have emailed to tell you that but your email ALWAYS bounces for me!

Going through a purple/mauve phase are we? Glad to see you have Alyssum, one of my favourite flowers, and from which I took my original blog name...'Sweet Alice'...I later dropped the 'sweet' as it seemed a bit pretentious, although entirely appropriate.....ha,ha!

Forgive my intrusion as an unknown 'admirer,' but I just had to tell you how much I've enjoyed reading your blog. I happened across your Bluebell Booties pattern this morning, and ended up reading your entire blog. (I do love your purple hair, by the way.)

I am also wondering what you are making with the white crochet. Whatever it is, it is lovely.

I am an American, spending the summer in Germany, and I am knitting and crocheting things for my Japanese friend's baby. I am also homesick, as I cannot speak much German, and these lovely German people are far too friendly for me to keep up with.

Anyway, thank you for the lovely bootie pattern... and for the delightful blog.
