Skiting about a very creative friend

My very dear friend, Linda French of Centerville Ohio - after 30 odd years of quilting - finally entered one of her quilts in a major show - the American Quilters' Society Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee this past weekend
and got Best in Show

Personally I'm not in the least surprised because I've known what a talented quilter she is ever since we first met while she was living in OZ in the early 80s

don'tcha just love it when your friends are suitably recognised for their brilliance, in spite of their natural reticence?

Well, if that's the quilt she won with - NO WONDER, it's fabulous. Love the colours in it, well done to her.

Such intricacy. What a beautiful quilt. Can't sew myself, but admire from afar.

What a stunning piece of artwork! It should be displayed in the Smithsonian or the New York Museum of Art! It is so beautiful! Best in Show, indeed!

OMG that quilt is absolutely STUNNING. I'm amazed at how all those rainbow triangles are sewn on separately ... and so precise. As well as such an original and beautiful design - she certainly deserved to win!

It's just as exciting watching a friends success, as having success yourself!

That is indeed beautiful. And one of the joys of the internet is being able to learn about it and see it.

Beaming the positive energies your way re the tests & such.
