can I get a yee hah?

There's this really strange stuff appearing in the goat paddock. It's kind of green ... and soft... and it smells kinda nice when it rains. The girls aren't at all sure what to do with it.

I believe it's called "grass". Of course I could be wrong. It's a long time since I've had any actual experience of a lawn persuasion.

Some folks have rushed in and stated the drought has broken. Up here, I guess the feeling is more one of cautious optimism.

That being said:

I guess you could say we're getting a bit of rain today.

Yee hah times two! And I'm saying that, knowing my washing is on the clotheshoist getting much wetter than it was when it came out of the machine. And......I........don't......CARE!

Yeeeeeeeeeee Hah!!! That's a whole lotta rain you've got there. I sort of want to go play in it. But, since I'm on the other side of the planet and have pneumonia, I suppose that wouldn't be prudent...

when I went and looked at the rain gauge this morning it was 'only' 25mm [ 1" ] ... I no complain ... but it did look like a lot more when it was falling.

It looks really beautiful in the rain - I can smell the wet just looking at the photos.

Rain is good. I don't know if I would recognize it, however, and I'm sure my plants wouldn't! Thank goodness we have a relatively full aquifer here so at least I can run the hose to keep things alive!
