Isn't twisted stitch and cable the same thing? And what is thrummed knitting?

hi Maz
no I took twisted stitch to mean those patterns where INDIVIDUAL stitches are twisted by knitting into the back of the stitch.
Thrummed knitting is where you carry a strand of carded roving [thrum] behind the knitted fabric and knit it in every so often. Because the roving is carried along on the inside it creates a very thick and warm fabric usually used for things like ice mittens so not a technique in use in OZ. At least I think that's what it is.

Not surprised at all to see how much you've accomplished as a knitter...not at all! Is there a quiliting one out there? I'd love to watch you smoke that list!

Are you feeling any better? I still can't figure out a way to get the narcotic cough syrup to you without violating 100 different customs regulations and laws. I hear whiskey works well...
