this is getting tired!

A Happy [hot] New Year to you and yours
the heatwave continues - although I'm told that south of The Divide will get a mild break today - and it has just hit 42.2 / 107.9 which would be bearable if the aircon was working
9pm update - it got to 42.9 / 108.2

Eeek! Happy New Year... um, our high tomorrow is going to be +5F, with a low of -11F. It's hard to imagine being as warm as you are!

Agreed - it's scorching up here too.
I am over it and I know the worst is yet to come!
Happy New Year :-)

-8 C here... But, I think I'll not complain. Turning up the heat is so much easier than trying to cool off. Happy New Year and I'll be thinking good thoughts for chilly breezes for you!

Happy 2008 Susan - It's been such a pleasure to 'meet' you in 2007 - warm here too - but nowhere near that hot!
My only advice - knit cotton or bamboo!

Could do for a little heat here, but will just put one more log on the fire.

Wishing you a cool spot soon!
Susan

Bloody Hot hey? We spent yesterday at the beach (with the Nutkin sock of course)and I think my sunscreen wasn't up to scratch, so now I'm paying the price..argghhh....I hopw your SC works soon! We have a evap cooler which we brought with us from QLD, that didn't really work up there, all that humidity, but thankfully it works like a charm here! Especially with frozen slushy water in it!

Happy new year Susan.

For some reason, Sydney missed out on the heatwaves this year... [so far]!

Yikes. I guess I won't complain about the 0 degrees F we're getting tomorrow, then... Happy New Year, Susan!

Ugh! I hate hot weather so you have all my sympathies! Maybe you need to get a couple of US wall calendars--you know, the ones with snow scenes in January and beach scenes in August--so you will have something cooling to look at? Hope you get that a/c working soon, and a break in the weather too! Bet the goaty girls are hating it!

Oh, you poor thing! We had a power outage here in St. George last summer when it was 110 so I know your pain. Our's lasted only a few hours but it was hot! And the city's water pump is electric, so we were asked to conserve water because the officials were not sure when the power would come back. Now it is winter and cold! Deserts.
