Vale Nina

Nina Caspi was a wife, a mother, a sister, and a friend to many.
She was also a quilter
You won't have read her name in any magazines nor seen her quilts on the internet but she made our little corner of the quilt world a gentler, nicer place.
She bore years of debilitating illness with a dignity and a grace that few would be able to match.
Last night she came to the end of that long and painful road.
Rest well my friend.

Susan, I am most sorry for the loss of your friend. You paid her a beautiful tribute! I am sure you were most fortunate to count her as a friend as she was to count you her friend.

A belated note - I'm very sorry about the loss of your friend. She appeared in your blog now and then and sounded like quite a bood person.

Yes thank you Susan for that very fitting tribute to my sister Nina. She fought a long and hard fight and with much dignity and grace. I do believe she was here to make the world a better place. Several years ago,Nina when visiting my other sister and I in San Francisco, bought me a beautiful clay angel..Nina is that angel, and although I am a musician, have never had any luck writing music, until now. The lyrics and notes started pouring in,and I have written "Angel of Light" in her memory. I plan on recording it,and will send you a copy, which you may pass along to the other quilters, and friends....thanks again for your kind words,Claudia
