Up Close And Personal with A Local Landmark

There's quilt fodder in every single one of these photos !
I'm especially taken with the top one. Wouldn't those red rosettes make a great quilting design ? or applique ?

and in case you're curious, it's our local Post Office ... an imposing edifice that I am intimately acquainted with ... there's no postal delivery out here so this is where I have a PO box.

Well photographed Susan, it's a great building - though I don't always like the paint colours chosen. Worth a photo at night, too, around by the post boxes.

Our post office is pretty, too - I should take photos one day!

What a great building. My post office is a "modern" square beige brick building. It looks like it was made with Legos. not a round bit anywhere.

Love those old buildings. I don't quilt but admire heaps of quilts. Found a reference the other day to "watercolour quilting" which builds up pictures by quilting. Your PO would lend itself to that. Lots of references if you search.
