Noice!

I was going to tell you a heartrending tale of great tragedy tonight. There would have been weeping, wailing, the gnashing of teeth and the rending of garments. Instead I'll just tell you ever so casually that I broke one of my faithful 4.5mm Ivore casein needles... and the reason I am able to face this loss with calmness and lightness of spirit, when all others would be crushed :
The lovely Linda has nominated both Maz and I for the

How cool is that?

Anyway I'm supposed to nominate a further seven. Maz would've been on my list, so now who else?

Bells

Erica

Sheepish Annie

April

Rose Red

Felicity

and can I nominate

Good Yarn karma ? [ which is my sneaky way of nominating Donni, Jae and Nora ]

Moving on :

this is the wee hat I've made for my new great niece Olivia. Is she cute or what?

But on the other hand, NICE!

I'm touched. Does this mean we are all nice?

:-)

I HATE breaking needles. I stopped using bamboo DPNs for that reason.

Olivia is a beautiful baby!

A beautiful baby, and I'm sure her mother will appreciate the little hat for her.

Linda was the very first blogger I made contact with back in Feb. 2005 and she gave me lots of assistance in establishing my blog. Australian bloggers were few and far between back then, and we shared gardening info for a long time.

I see that Val is hoping to make contact this weekend. Lucky you, Susan. I know you'll have a great weekend.

I love my Ivore needles too! I couldn't knit socks without them, I need the bendy needles to help keep my hands pain-free. Hope you can find a replacement soon!

Gorgeous bub and hat :)

oh my gosh... that hat is gonna look TOO cute on her!

Firstly, I second the nomination, secondly, it looks like a trip to Bendigo for more needles, thirdly, you should make another hat for the bear too!

Awww, thanks! I really do think that a little of the nice goes a long way in this world.

Not only is that little great niece cute, she is most serene little baby I've every laid eyes on! What a sweetie! (And I'm not just saying that because "nice matters." It's the truth!!)

Apparently she is far far from serene. My Ma-in-law says that
Olivia cries rather a lot. Actually the word MIL used was cranky. ..but she IS cute even with no hair.

Beautiful baby! Sorry about the needle, I stick with my old metal ones for that reason! Well done on the award.

Congrats on the nice award! It's well deserved! And what a sweet widdle baby! I'm sorry about your needle. Maybe when the nice police aren't around you can tell us how you really feel...? :)

Hello Susan, another blogger in this area "well how wonderful" there I was thin king I was all on my own here chatting around the world but never finding anyone just over the hill and around the corner.

It is very nice to be here from Val's blog and I am sure we will be able to chat lots and understand each other when we make comments like "gosh it is a cold day" lol lol lol

Enjoy your week.

Me? Nice? Oh no, not me. I am evil personified. I am the dragonlady of California. I am pestilence in human form.

Ooo, that's a good one, I'll have to remember that.

Thank you. :) {{{hugs}}}
