Rowan 4.5 kgs more or less using the digital bathroom scales which only weigh in half kilo increments
Ruby ? not sure yet - a little bit less.
Rowan seems to have a weakness in the front legs so I'm off to consult the goat guru this morning when I drop David off. If it's what I think it might be , she just needs vitamin A [ cold liver oil ]
one congratulatory email received this morning from a certain individual who shall remain nameless inquired as to whether I had knitted the new mother a spiffy bedjacket for receiving visitors. There were several enquiries over the last week as to layettes and baby quilts. So now you know. My friends are just as insane as I am :]

What no layette? No knitted nappy covers? No cute little blankies for cute kids?
Oh. My. God. What a couple of cuties!!! No one will even notice the lack of bedjackets and whatnot. Those sweet little faces are all anyone needs to see. (I'm getting all squishy and maternal here...it's kind of weird.)
Congrats to all! You did a great job!!!
Awwww! Baby quilts all round!
Oooooh! Woookie da babeez! I wuv baby goats! I really do. Way back in the day, when I was having my own babies, the doula told me I was going to have to come up with an image, a "happy place," as it were, that I could go to when "things go tough." I couldn't come up with any, until my husband reminded me how much I love the baby goats at this petting zoo we used to go to (without kids, even - what losers!) I can't really say the whole goat as happy place thing worked, however. I had a c-section. But still. So cute, your babies. I hope they're well, drinking that fluorescent stuff you saved!
Oh, they are so cute...I love babies...any kind of babies...and these are so cute! You could always ship the little white one to me - I'd take good care of the baby!! :)
Oh baby goats!! I love them. Are they nice to cuddle?
Congratulations on the babies! They are adorable! And I love the names you have chosen for them.
Twins! They are so cute. Are twins unusual in goats? Goat moms don't look big enough to carry two babies. Although, human moms don't look big enough either.
GOAT BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh Lordy, those are the CUTEST babies in the entire world!!! They're such little sweeties and they're both so beautiful. Look at the tiny little faces! Oh what fun you're going to have once they start romping about.
Please send them to ME.
AND no quilt - just a blanket - hop to it girlie!!!
Oh and congratulations
Di, did you seriously expect me to let one of my quilts get covered in the things that come with the whole birth process? You're a farmer! You KNOW how unspeakably evil those towels ended up.
