FO catchup and gratuitous cute cat

Despite the fact that I only finished the one quilt last year [ at a quarter to midnight on New Year's Eve ] I totally failed to show you documentary proof of same.

So here 't'is:
It doesn't have a name yet, and isn't from a pattern per se, but is the latest in a long, long line of quilts made using my friend Anjii' Solomon's ever-so-clever Angle technique.*

The top was made in '05 or '06 as an extra class sample
but I only just got around to having it quilted late last year
and as it ain't a quilt 'til it's quilted, I'm claiming it as a 2009 quilt.

and THIS little sleeping bag was a really quick crochet project back in April, before I found out that Noah was going to be such a ... substantial ... birth weight

The pattern is a freebie from Sue Thompson
I did modify a bit by tapering the sleeves and doing a gentle increase at the sides of the bag/skirt portion, but nothing too drastic.

and finally, the gratuitous gorgeous feline is my grandkitten Suki

  2. The quilt is beautiful, and the sleeping bag looks good too.
The quilt reminded me of something but I couldn't put my finger on it until I read Caprifool's comment. That's exactly what it reminds me of!

  5. I loved those sleeping bags when the girls were babies. You always knew they were covered.

When I hear "possum" I get a picture of big teeth and ugly fur. Your cowl is so soft and lovely. I wouldn't tell anyone it was possum.

  6. Secret garden is a great name for it, I immediately thought of an English garden when I saw it. Lovely.

  7. The sleeping bag looks great - dit it fit?

I bought yarn (before GS#1 was born) to knit a sleeping bag with hood which DD chose. Being born in February, I thought there'd be no rush but he grew so quickly and doesn't like being over-heated. DD decided a sleeping bag (for newborns - 6 months) wasn't necessary! So I have 8 balls of Bendi Classic 8ply (4 Turquoise, 1 each of four different browns) to find a new project for! ;-(
