There's quilt fodder in every single one of these photos !
I'm especially taken with the top one. Wouldn't those red rosettes make a great quilting design ? or applique ?
and in case you're curious, it's our local Post Office ... an imposing edifice that I am intimately acquainted with ... there's no postal delivery out here so this is where I have a PO box.
Well photographed Susan, it's a great building - though I don't always like the paint colours chosen. Worth a photo at night, too, around by the post boxes.
ReplyDeleteOur post office is pretty, too - I should take photos one day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great building. My post office is a "modern" square beige brick building. It looks like it was made with Legos. not a round bit anywhere.
ReplyDeleteLove those old buildings. I don't quilt but admire heaps of quilts. Found a reference the other day to "watercolour quilting" which builds up pictures by quilting. Your PO would lend itself to that. Lots of references if you search.
ReplyDeleteI love architectural details! Lovely photos.
