All the news that's fit to ...

It seemed like a simple enough idea really - pop Rosie and Robbyn on their chains, lead them out the front and get them to act as lawn mowers on the grass ... ahem ... weeds ... growing along the side of the carport and the driveway.
Normally this gets done through September/October/November, gradually moving further away from the house but, strange as it may seem, wrestling with a 90 kg / 200 pound critter was not on the list of approved post-operative activities so it had to wait until I felt up to it

that's their normal paddock behind the fence

I wasn't about to leave my caprine Houdinis unattended ... not if I wanted to still have a rose garden when all this was finished [ a collar and chain mean very little to a truly determined goat ] so I settled down with a comfy chair, cuppa, Bear and the newspaper

"Whatcha doin' Mum?"
Reading, huh ?

  1. It's caller recycling. We send our newspapers away in the Recycling bin but I bet they don't finish up as nearly such a worthwhile product as goat manure!

I hope you'd finished reading. By the way, I don't think we've had any reports on how the new car feels to drive.

Glad you enjoyed 'the boy' on 'Can We Help?'

  2. Obviously the paper wasn't as interesting as getting that series of photos... at least we know she's getting enough fibre, although there's a lot of rubbish in papers these days :/

  3. you are going to have to save up for speeding fines with that lovely red car ....much more interesting than the goat.......LOL
Well it is a cute goat and that is about all newspapers are useful for...Moggie attacked some paper today as well.......but remember red cars go faster.
Certainly faster than silver ones that have sat for a week waiting for mechanic to come home from long week end and friend to contact mechanic....oh that I had gone with him when he took the car to be serviced....!
Let patience have her perfect work... I had a $5 Woolworths delivery tonight with at least 4 bags of cat litter and things that are heavy to carry.....
Fancy being without a car for a week and not grumbling......maybe there is a peaceful maturity in aging!!!! Maybe!
