opinions please
Nadie commented that the blog header I have had up since de-Christmassing the blog was "a gorgeous photo but too hard to read" so I'm trying out a few alternatives. What do you all think of this one with Oakley and "Oilslick" ?
This doesn't really affect me as I usually read your posts in Bloglines. However, as a general comment, I favour skinnier banners that do not take up so much of the page. After all, it's the words of your posts that are important - the banner/header is just window dressing.
I miss Bear of the big ears. I know Oakly is handsome but I do miss those big ears.
In the spirit of ausie day mateship the wool is on the move. Poor Samantha had to re organize her boot. Do have fun sorting it and any money you find is mine..........LOL.
Gorgeous! I really like seeing your critters and your quilts. Oil slick is absolutely stunning but Oakley takes first prize...what a beauty! :-) I had your goat with the Christmas bulb garland up as my background for most of the holiday season. Loved that one, too!
Love Oakley, love the quilt, love the photo and I see you have enlarged the print - it's a winner! But I did like the previous photo as well (gorgeous wool).
The writing is still a little difficult to see against the quilt. Love the shot though. Maybe a bolder font would work better or a different colour?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jack, the writing is a little hard to read but I really like the photo.
ReplyDeleteok Jack and Kylie - I've boldened up the font - didn't know I could do that actually ... any better ??
ReplyDeletei think it looks great - oakley looks very handsome and oil slick is my favourite of your quilts :)

ReplyDeleteLovely photo - I rarely read the title; I've been coming to your blog too long for that!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can just keep changing the photo every month? LOL
Gorgeous but the text is still tricky. Maybe try a lighter colour?
