Alice - Marc and I had always planned to move up here when he retired. Of course he never got the chance but I did it anyway. So "here" is my 10 acres, and the plaque is in the garden under a gumtree near the house ... most visitors wouldn't know it was there but I do and that's the point.
This is a beautiful memorial plaque and I think it is great it is somewhere speical on your property. You know it is there and I hope it brings you many wonderful memories of Marc when you see it! xxx
forgot to mention the wool that i used for the fancy silk socks (blue ones) the Fyberspates wool is Welsh. http://www.fyberspates.co.uk/ Jen, the lady who owns it hand dyes her wool, and she is an adorable lady!!!
My son's friends and fellow Land Trust members put up a bench on a beautiful overlook, by a pond that he had worked to help them acquire, thus making sure that the beauty was preserved for the next generations. I think that, like your plaque, it is a reminder of a wonderful person who's missed all the time.

ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely plaque, Susan, but where exactly is 'here'? Is it in your garden?
ReplyDeleteI trust your cold is now a distant memory?

Thank you, Susan. No wonder your 10 acres are so special to you - a dream you both shared back then, and a reality you still share in spirit today.
