I have a couple of skeins that will be all the better for a little swim in the dye vat.Alwenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03200150883889857882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32145603.post-15576361305498613142008-10-08T09:40:00.000+11:002008-10-08T09:40:00.000+11:00Hi LynneI probably wasn't being specific enoughThe...Hi Lynne
I probably wasn't being specific enough
The original yarn was one of those ones that looks like fairisle when knitted up - definite stripes and repeating patterned sections. I've completely covered that over with a softer , less regular, hand painted look with far less contrast so ... no ... not self patterning anymore
cheerscatsmumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01953101594940806384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32145603.post-13625878341713339722008-10-08T09:24:00.000+11:002008-10-08T09:24:00.000+11:00I may be showing my ignorance but won't the yarn s...I may be showing my ignorance but won't the yarn still self pattern - just not with pale green stripes?

Don't wear yourself out without all that clearing - David needs you and so do we.Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07760744006915967397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32145603.post-58572919109009073482008-10-08T07:24:00.000+11:002008-10-08T07:24:00.000+11:00If I still lived in the city I wouldn't be allowed...If I still lived in the city I wouldn't be allowed to either but in bushfire prone country it's clear or risk the consequencescatsmumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01953101594940806384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32145603.post-34093508337603888962008-10-08T03:35:00.000+11:002008-10-08T03:35:00.000+11:00We haven't been allowed to burn our debris for yea...We haven't been allowed to burn our debris for years. I miss the smells that used to accompany the fall in this area as people burned the leaves. My grandmother had an incinerator in her house for burning paper goods. I can't imagine any regulatory agency allowing that today!Donna Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07877384848664758611noreply@blogger.com
